Conestoga College hires part-time faculty to teach in many career-focused programs across our academic schools every term (fall, winter, spring). As positions become available that match your profile, your resume and interview may be shared directly with Hiring Managers.

Interviews will be kept for consideration for a period of one year.

Teaching at Conestoga

A part-time faculty member typically teaches 1-2 courses each 14-week semester, for approximately 3-6 hours per week in the classroom or learning environment. Additional time will be required for preparation and evaluation.

While qualifications vary across disciplines, we are looking for candidates that:

Possess related industry qualifications and practical work experience specific to the program area of interest
Possess relevant post-secondary education credentials and maintain related industry specific certifications, designations, licences, etc.
Demonstrate the ability to create a learning-centred and positive environment for students of diverse backgrounds, ages, and skill levels
Express a strong commitment to academic excellence and student success
Demonstrate exceptional presentation, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Have experience with computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite), related industry software and educational technologies (e.g., D2L)
Support Conestoga’s continuous quality improvement initiatives
Develop and maintain strong relationships with industry contacts and network connections
